Located in the heart of FiDi and SoMa on Mission at Second Street, Atlas Tap Room offers well-prepared modern Americana fare and an eclectic variety of handcrafted beers and fine wines from the Bay Area, West Coast and selected countries.

Atlas Tap Room located in the heart of The City, at 606 Mission Street, is on the ground floor of an 11 story hi-rise, named Atlas and built in 1905,  Aptly named, the building was still aloft after the 1906 Great Quake and Fire which left San Francisco in ruins.

Atlas Tap Room has been under new ownership, Jennie and Todd Lee, since November 1, 2016

Atlas Tap Room reflects the modern sensibilities of rustic and industrial design trends.  The venue is cozy yet has high ceilings, there is exposed original brick throughout and steel beams, a heated patio, internet music, and a map-themed decor.

Guests are welcomed by happy team member. The aim is to relax, have some fun, sample eclectic local craft beers and wines, eat well-prepared modern Americana fare, Listen to great jams, and savor The City vibe.

This delectable gastropub is an ideal setting for gathering with co-workers and friends, or hosting semi-private and private mixers with colleagues or associates to motivate, team build, or brainstorm.

WHY TRY TAP WINE?

Uniquely, both tap beers and tap wines are offered at Atlas Tap.  It is well known that beer served from the tap 'taste fresher' than beer from bottles or cans.  But lesser known is the fact that wine on tap enjoys the same benefits as beer on tap.  Wine is aged normally and then ported into reusable stainless steel kegs. The wine is rendered inert by a harmless carbon dioxide and nitrogen gas system.  Like draft beer, tap wine first meets the atmosphere when poured into your glass - its freshness assured. 'Tapped' wine and beer also have profound economic and ecologic benefits versus traditional bottling. Tap storage dramatically improves product freshness, and lowers costs as there is no need for bottles, corks, labels, wraps. Consuming Tap wine thereby reduces, recycling, landfill - pollution.

To be sure, wine in bottles -almost an art form- will forever be part of the world's cultural fabric, but consumers and wineries here and around the world have begun to embrace the many benefits of Wine on Tap - try some.
